This 2002 (early R8) 1958 Les Paul Historic Series Electric Guitar has the legendary features, tone, and looks that made the original '58 Les Paul Standard a classic, with great playing comfort and feel. Features a maple top, mahogany back, and one-piece set-in mahogany neck with rounded '50s neck profile, nickel plated hardware, and an original ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. This is the Custom Shop pre-historic version and does NOT include a certificate which came again the following year.

The Gibson Humbucker Pickups with vintage covers that are historically accurate "Patent Applied For" replicas with an airy tone and unbalanced coils. Both have unpolished magnets and non-potted coils like the original "Patent Applied For" pickups.
